What is a “Straußwirtschaft”?
“Straußwirtschaften” are wine-pubs which are permitted exclusively in the production area. The wineproducer has only the permision to pour wines of his own production in his own pub. He also has the permission to serve dishes like bread with sausage, ham or cheese and/or local specialties.
